My sister was in town this past weekend. So I made her a vinyl decal for her computer. Since she is a Wisconsin Badger Alumni, I made Bucky the badger for her computer. This was the first project I made using two colors of vinyl.
This is the vinyl after I put the two colors together on the clear contact.
This is the decal on the 17inch sized computer.
My sis loved it and was soooo excited to have her Wisconsin love be shown on her computer!
While she was in town, Eric wanted to smoke some meat. He got a smoker last summer and has loved using it. Since I love not having to cook, I was game when he wanted to make something. His idea was to smoke some beef brisket. We went to Sam's Club and bought an 8 pound (huge) cut of brisket. Here is the brisket once it had been marinaded over night and with the rub.

Some more birds!
Last week, I found these little birds and decided to make some vinyl birds for my wall.
I got the birds from the SCALe-files website. This person it sooo very talented and has a lot of different cut files. I found the little birds HERE.

Oscar Night: Bird on the Linen Door
So while the Oscars where starting, I decided to do a mini project. In between Eric's comments about Zac Efron's height, I found a bird and branch picture. I used MTC to create the cut file.
Then I put my vinyl and mat into the cricut. And waited for it to finish.....
I then weeded out the vinyl I didn't want to use. Then Dodger played with the extra vinyl.

Birds, Vinyl and a Detolf....
So I have been reading up on how to create vinyl things with my cricut but never had the courage to buy some to try. Well I finally got some vinyl in the mail but still had some reservations about using vinyl and it not cutting. I had an early day today so I decided to try my hand at cutting some vinyl birds for a Detolf cabinet that I bought a while ago at IKEA. I love love love IKEA and the Detolf glass cabinet are great for showcasing items. I use it to store my beverage glasses and Eric uses it to display some of his toys I mean collectible 12 inch figures.
Anyway, back to creating little birds. I used MTC software (make-the-cut) to create the layout of my cuts.
After waiting about 5 minutes for my cricut, I got these little birds in 4 different colors.
